May 24, 2006: Today we have a terrific interview with Dana from Mombian, a great resource for lesbian moms (lesbian+mom=Mombian. Get it?). Although, as a gay dad, I also love the site, and I recommend everyone check it out.
Dana has a great idea to make June 1st Blogging for LGBT Families Day. Listen to her ideas on the show for how to help promote our families using the power of the web.
In our coverage of the news, I talk about the recent overturning of an anti-family law in Oklahoma, and the new report on the high cost of the LGBT adoption ban in Florida.
I also give an update on our family, including my nervousness about testifying in our foster child’s custody case. It will be my first time on the stand. Will I break down? Will I stutter? Wish me luck!
Thanks to HRC for their sponsorship and thanks to you for listening.

[...] Scott Sherman recently interviewed me for his wonderful podcast, The Gay Parenting Show. If you’re not a regular listener, I urge you to hop over for a visit. My part is about 24 minutes into today’s show. You can also enjoy Scott’s discussion of his own family and their major upcoming event as well as his coverage of general LGBT-family news. Scott’s previous shows, too, have lots of interesting interviews and news coverage. Good material to download to your iPod for your next run or stroller walk. Thanks to Scott for inviting me. [...]

Hi. We are college students and we have to do a research paper on gay parenting. We were wondering if there is any chance we could get some feedback about this topic. We wanted to ask the question…” Does gay parenting affect children by their age and is the affect gender specific?”
Thanks!
