Sasha Loses His First Tooth
May 22, 2006: Last week, when many American’s were anticipating the premier of The DaVinci Code, finding out who the last two finalists would be on American Idol, and the final episode of Will and Grace, our son Sasha was eagerly anticipating the loss of his first baby tooth. Finally, after weeks of doing everything he could do to wiggle, push and pull that sucker out, one of his bottom teeth finally popped off.
After endless questioning about the Tooth Fairy (”How does she know I’ve lost a tooth? How big is she? If she’s small enough to fit under my pillow, how does she carry the money?”) Sasha was so excited that it took forever for him to fall asleep. The next morning, he waved the cash that appeared - magically! - under his pillow and immediately began pushing at the adjacent tooth with his tongue.
Here he is triumphantly demonstrating another step towards adulthood.

Oh My Goodness!!! How adorable is that boy now??? And those eyes, Amazing!!!
Just to pass on a little information about the “Tooth Fairy”, she is a friend of mine! Usually the Tooth Fairy takes the newly exfoliated tooth and “recycles” it for lack of a better term. She, at least all the one who used to show up at my house was a she, takes the old baby tooth and flies through the night in search of a little baby who is in need of a tooth and gives it to them. It’s a beautiful thing!!
Just think Sasha has 19 more primary teeth to go…..:) Lots more fun to come!!!
