Can You Hear Me Now?
August 11, 2005: As podcasts are a new media, I’ve heard from many people who are interested in listening to the show but don’t know how. First of all - THANKS! I hope you join us. And, luckily, there are a few ways you can enjoy all this gay parenting goodness. I’m not the best tech guy out there, but here’s some suggestions.
If you want to hear one episode of the show at your computer, click the “Listen Here” link by each show. It should “stream” to a media player on your computer.
Another way to get the show is to right click the the “Listen Here” link and select “Save File As.” You can rename the show, change where it downloads to, or accept the defaults. Then, when the download is finished, you can click “Open” to hear it, or transfer it manually to a portable player. Note: This may only work in Windows, Apple users may need to apply the force differently.
If you want to subscribe to the show, you can follow The Podcast Network’s directions here. Or, if you have iTunes, just click the Podcasts link on the left and search under the terms “Gay” or “Parenting.” The show should show up on the list as “TPN - The Gay Parenting Show.” Then, just hit the subscribe button and it should download the show and all new episodes automatically. You can listen at your computer through iTunes. If you have an iPod, the show will automatically put new episodes on it when you synch.
If all else fails, send me an email at ScottSherman@msn.com. I’ll work with you bring you aboard (you know how we homosexuals love to recruit!).
Thanks for stopping by,
Scott
