July 15, 2005: The world has moved a little closer to equality now that the Los Angeles City Council unanimously passed a resolution voicing support for a state bill that would legalize marriage for gays and lesbians. The measure is largely symbolic, but hey, lets give them much love for the thought. Two members of the Council who did not support the resolution left the chamber so the resolution could pass unanimously. Maybe we’ll be lucky and they won’t come back!
